Pastor Dave Larson was installed in 2018 after serving as the vacancy pastor. Pastor Dave and his wife Heather have served at churches in Waconia and Minneapolis. They have five children: Grace, Eli, Micah, Lydia, and Abigail. Pastor Dave enjoys sports, coaching his children’s teams, and working on his yard. Mary Jo MehrlMusic Director
Mary Jo Mehrl joined our team in 2011 as the Worship and Music Director after serving churches in Michigan and Illinois (although she is a home grown Minnesotan!). She loves playing the piano and organ, as well as leading the Praise Team, Handbell Choir, and Kids Choirs. She also has directed numerous kids musicals and adult dramas. Kristie BulthuisOffice Manager
Kristie Bulthuis has been Office Manager since June 2007. She and husband Terry live in Hudson and have been members of St. John for 29 years. They have two grown daughters, Lindsey (Clint) and Brittany (Dustin), and three grandchildren, Jayden, Kenzley, and Huxton. Kristie enjoys sewing, crafts, baking, playing piano, and gardening. Patty Johnson has been custodian since 2000. She and her husband Dan have been active members of St. John since 1990. They have two adult children, Mitch (Marcie) and Matt. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her boys and extended family, relaxing at family cabins in northern MN, and traveling with Dan when time allows.
Cody BenderDirector of Christian Education Intern
Cody Bender is serving as the Director of Christian Education Intern. Cody and his wife Rachael are new to St. John Lutheran Church. They both recently graduated from Concordia University Nebraska. They enjoy building Legos, spending time with family, and being outside at the lake. Cody also enjoys going to the gym, singing, and making music. He is excited to serve the congregation and community this year!
