Adults (Bible Studies)
Midweek Bible Studies
Every Wednesday morning from 9:30-10:30am from September to May, we hold men’s and women’s Bible studies to grow together in the Word of God. Please bring a Bible and a pen with you, all other materials are provided.
The Men’s Bible Study meets in the Fellowship Hall and is studying the book of James. Contact Pastor Dave (pastor@stjohnwoodbury.org) if you are interested in attending.
The Women’s Bible Study meets in the Fireside Room and is also studying the book of James. Contact our Director of Christian Education, Samantha Davis, (dce@stjohnwoodbury.org) if you are interested in attending.
Summer Bible Studies
Over the summer, we host various studies during the week. There are currently no summer Bible Studies running, but check back for more information!
Christian Basics Class
Are you looking to learn more about the basics of the Christian faith? Or do you want a refresher or have questions about what we believe?
Throughout the year, we run an 8-week Christian Basics Class, which usually meets on Wednesday evenings from 7-8pm. Check back to see when our next class will be!
Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML)
LWML is a national organization that supports women in faith and service. St. John’s LWML meets on the first Saturday of each month at 9:30am for a Bible Study and business meeting. The funds we gather support mission projects in our community, across southern Minnesota, and around the globe!
Faith and Life Conversations
These seasonal workshops discuss a range of issues that we face in life from a Christian perspective. Past topics have included suicide prevention, race and the church, kids and technology, and finances.
They are generally held on a Sunday from 11:45-12:45pm and lunch is provided. Check back to learn about our next workshop!
